The Good Lobby, a first of its kind skill-sharing community was co-founded by European Young Leader Alberto Alemanno, Professor of Law at HEC Paris and NYU Law School. It is run entirely by volunteers with the dual mission to promote civic engagement while strengthening civil society in Europe and beyond.
The Good Lobby combines community-building, skill-sharing, collaborating and communicating to pursue the mission of fostering assertive citizenship so as to create more accountable and happier societies. A diverse mixture of expert volunteers are mobilised to share their skills with NGOs working on the most important social and political issues in Europe. The Good Lobby also serves as a clearinghouse, and provides training, technical and strategic assistance in EU law, advocacy, policy development and communication.
On 22 June, The Good Lobby helds an inaugural event and the EU Pro Bono Awards launch in Brussels with the participation of Emily O’Reilly, the EU Ombudsman.
