At their halfway point , delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is in risk of falling short. Only 15% of the SDGs are on track to be achieved by 2030 and 37% are stalled or in reverse. With COP28 just behind us and upcoming events such as LLDC3, SIDS4 and the Summit of the Future, we stand at a crucial point to consider what steps the international community needs to take now in order to maintain meaningful momentum and accelerate progress on the SDGs through to 2030.

In conversation with Friends of Europe’s Dharmendra Kanani, this #CriticalThinkingLive with Jorge Moreira Da Silva, Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), discusses the importance of green infrastructure in turning the tide, closing the implementation gap and tapping into financial markets to get back on track.
