Innovative housing projects bring solutions to Europe

Housing exclusion is growing in Europe, and almost all member states see an increase in homelessness. Yet housing is a right: it affects every aspect of a person’s life.

The Housing Solutions Platform is a new expertise- and practice-driven initiative to identify, debate and promote innovative solutions for affordable housing in Europe. It is a joint initiative of FEANTSA, Friends of Europe, the Fondation Abbé Pierre and Housing Europe.

One of the Platform’s purposes is to encourage transnational exchanges in practices by showcasing proactive and audacious initiatives that have been put to the test in different countries.

This factsheet intends to present and promote innovations in housing from around Europe, to demonstrate what kind of projects the Housing Solutions Platform would like to put forward, discuss and disseminate.
