European elections special: #Voices4Choices

As Europe approaches the critical elections on 6-9 June, Friends of Europe is leveraging its extensive global network and wide-ranging activities to shed light on the need to reimagine our societies and pave the way for Europe’s future.

Building on two years of dedicated work on the Renewed Social Contract for Europe, captured in the form of ‘10 policy choices’, and supported by the insights of the ‘2024 Voices’ report from engaging 2,000 citizens across seven European countries through our citizen engagement unit Debating Europe, this campaign underscores the importance of rethinking Europe’s social contract at this pivotal moment.

Renewing Europe’s promise

#Voices4Choices seeks to transform how citizens, the private sector, civil society and public institutions interact. In the lead-up to the European elections, our focus is on the essential role of the Renewed Social Contract in steering Europe towards a more inclusive, fair, and sustainable future. This campaign aims to elevate awareness, ignite dialogue, and inspire collaboration to build a resilient and competitive European Union.

Engaging with Europe

By amplifying the voices of European citizens and integrating their perspectives into policy discussions, we aim to foster meaningful connections between policymakers and the wider community. To transform our societies and be ready for the future of Europe, we will need everyone on board. Indeed, this effort is about more than just the electoral moment; it’s about setting a long-term vision for Europe’s future until 2030 and beyond.
