The Friends of Europe think-tank, based in Brussels, chose the actress, theater and film director of Roma ethnicity Alina Şerban among the 40 young European leaders (European Young Leader, EYL40) for 2024, according to a communiqué.

Among them are an Olympic swimmer, a glaciologist, green technology entrepreneurs, politicians, start-up founders, CEOs, award-winning journalists and artists with the best performances in their fields.

Alina Şerban’s activity promotes social justice by combating sexism, racism, homophobia and other forms of discrimination.
