If the West allows Moscow to win the war against Ukraine , the Kremlin and its authoritarian allies will spread their influence around the world, undermining the foundations of international law and democracy. Instead, supporting Ukraine, which will lead to its victory and later to EU membership, will bring its allies security advantages and economic opportunities. This is the conclusion reached by the authors of the study “Ukraine: the price of inaction”, prepared by the Brussels analytical center Friends of Europe within the framework of the “Ukrainian Initiative”, which was presented in Brussels on Tuesday, May 28.
