Lefteris Arapakis, co-founder and director of Enaleia , the first professional fishing school in Greece that empowers fishermen to adopt sustainable fishing practices, has been named a European Young Leader ( EYL40 ) by the Friends of Europe think tank , based in Brussels.

This year’s class includes a winemaker, an Olympic swimmer, a glaciologist, a tennis player, green tech entrepreneurs, an award-winning Roma actress, politicians from all levels of government and national parliaments, unicorn and start-up founders, CEOs, award-winning journalists and artists established at the highest level in their field.
