Euronews | Lajčak: The EU is ready for enlargement for the first time in a long time

The special representative of the European Union for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčak, said that for the first time in a long time, the EU is ready for enlargement.

“At today’s summit on the Balkans, I emphasized that for the first time in a while, the EU is ready for enlargement. It is high time to take advantage of that opportunity,” Lajcak wrote on the X platform (Twitter) last night.

On Thursday, Lajčak participated in the EU-Western Balkans summit organized by the Brussels political institute “Friends of Europe”.
