Here’s an oldie but a goodie: In 2004, well before Twitter dominated the political sphere, we carried out an extensive consultation with people in business, the media, civil society and EU institutions to find out their views on how the EU communicates with its citizens. Based on their insights, we provided recommendations to then Commissioner for Communications Strategy Margot Wallström.
Today, we are still pondering how the EU and its institutions can better connect with Europe’s citizens. While times change and technologies advance, one thing is clear – the basics still matter.
