We are thrilled to announce the launch of TownHall Europe – The Davignon Centre for New Leadership!
TownHall Europe is both a cool event space and an innovative leadership centre, providing a free flow of ideas to help citizens and leaders to discuss the big issues, think outside the box, accelerate engagement and collaborate to tackle the main challenges facing today’s volatile world.
Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, has called this a "vitally needed platform to respond to collective challenges", adding, "I have no doubt this centre will help forge shared solutions for our common future."
This brand-new venue is located just a stone’s throw away from the European institutions, allowing for ease of access for policymakers and thought leaders. Boasting cutting-edge technology, it easily connects Brussels with the rest of the world.
What’s next? In partnership with Friends of Europe, TownHall is engaged in “Funky Fridays” to offer a collaborative space for citizens, today’s and tomorrow’s leaders and anyone wanting to contribute to a better world.
The first such event takes place this week, with Social Media for Change, a workshop jointly led by Alberto Alemanno, founder of the Good Lobby, and Alexander Mäkelä, a former public policy associate at Facebook, to support citizens interested in the methodology of citizen lobbying by equipping them with the tools necessary to become more effective and responsible digital users.
